A fun somewhat unknown spot in West Virginia is the Lost World, this expansive and amazing set of caverns that you can explore the under world that hovers around 50 degrees, which is an ideal temperature in the Summer. After descending 120 feet below the Earth’s surface you enter a wonderland of stalactites and stalagmites. The Lost World Caverns was discovered in 1942 and a magical place for people of all ages as the entire hike takes less than an hour.
